Client Services Associate/Tax Preparer

Chris is a Tax Preparer working with Frank Ell.  She is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and the University of St. Thomas where she earned a Masters Degree in Business Management.

Chris enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, biking, and going on a long walks.

Office Manager

Lori is the Office Administrator and the first person you meet when coming through the doors of BBFG. Lori is the “go to person” – responsible for scheduling of clients, maintaining all tax files and the client data base; handles administrative projects and ensures general office operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Lori is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in Elementary Education. Lori came to BBFG with a great deal of experience as an administrative assistant from Carlson Travel Group and the National Center for Health Promotion.

Lori and her husband Mark enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Client Services Associate

Anita is the assistant to Scott Burns and joined the BBFG family in 2021.  Her focus is on the client experience, assisting Scott with meeting preparation, follow-up marketing, and providing service to both investment and tax clients.  She has over 20 years administrative experience.

In her free time, she enjoys the theater, gardening, walks, weekends up north and spending time with family and friends.

Client Services Associate

Kelli joined BBFG in 2007 and works side by side with Frank Shimkus doing client tax preparation and investment planning.

 Kelli’s previous experience in the banking industry has been valuable to Frank and their clients in working with client’s tax and financial planning questions. Kelli has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of St. Thomas along with a teaching degree.

Kelli and her family live in Prior Lake.

Administrative Assistant

Katie is the administrative assistant to Frank Ell and brings to BBFG 17+ years of marketing experience from a company that sold annuities and life insurance.  In that role, she supported marketers and agents when working with their clients, and provided training and education on the products.

Katie believes that customer service and a family atmosphere work best when working with people on their tax and financial planning throughout the various financial stages in their life.

Katie enjoys spending time with her family, riding her motorcycle, camping and travel.

Client Services Associate

Gertie works with the team of Frank Shimkus and Kelli Meyer doing tax preparation for clients and also providing administrative support. 

Gertie came to BBFG with 34 years of judicial assistance work with the Federal government in the Federal Courts System.  Gertie is a very organized and energetic individual in all aspects.

Gertie enjoys biking, card playing, and camping.  She and her husband reside in Burnsville and have two grown children and one grandchild.
